Should you have to disclose if you are on birth control?

I was doing an interview with two famous performers and we were talking about performing on your period. One of the women spoke about how performers would be stuffing baby wipes or sponges up their vagina to hide the blood, and then ‘fishing’ them out afterwards. This was quite fascinating to listen to because I had  just assumed they did not perform on their periods. 

This conversation then led onto the topic of birth control, and raises a lot of interesting questions/debates.
