When it comes to third party content sites (such as social media or adult sites) there are numerous challenges that arise. When it comes to the porn industry it certainly comes with its own set of unique challenges. When I was making the guidelines for Freyja some of it was pretty self explanatory and clear cut over what was going to be allowed and what was not. Naturally, there were other parts of this discussion that were far more complicated and philosophical. A key part to forming these rules, was to gain a complete understanding of how fansites work, and what arises. Our team spent hours talking with creators about their experience on these types of platforms in order to gain this understanding. From these chats we were able to brainstorm solutions for the majority of issues, however, there was one thing in particular that to this day I still can’t think of the perfect solution for, and that is ‘rate my dick’.
